Intermediality

Edit lead

The notion of intermediality refers to a large number of theoretical approaches that study relationships between media. These approaches converge because they all prioritize the idea of relationships between media, highlight the materiality of the mediation and, in more recent years, adopt anti-essentialist perspectives that resist the conception of media as forms with a fixed identity. The scope of intermediality includes, but is not limited to, the study of intermedial practices.
